Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is an island country located on the coast of the Caribbean. The population of this country is approx 1,10,872 with 389 square kilometers area. Ethnically, 66% are black, 19% mixed, 6% Indian, 4% European, 2% Kalinago etc. 88% are Christian, and the majority are Protestant. The official language is English.

There is nothing interesting to mention in the entire constitution. There are some traditional human rights references. Each article is unnecessarily long. The constitutions of every country in the Caribbean are copy-paste of each other. These countries are former British colonies. After gaining so-called independence, the British government probably handed them a template for a constitution. They implemented it as a constitution by simply changing the name of the country and a few relevant things.

WHEREAS the Peoples of the Islands of Saint Vincent, who are known as Vincentians--

● have affirmed that the Nation is founded on the belief in the supremacy of God and the freedom and dignity of man;


19. Establishment of office

There shall be a Governor-General of Saint Vincent who shall be appointed by Her Majesty and shall hold office during Her Majesty's pleasure and who shall be Her Majesty's representative in Saint Vincent.

There shall be a Parliament of Saint Vincent which shall consist of Her Majesty and a House of Assembly.
